Finance Capital for Community Organizers 101

If Cash Rules Everything Around Us,
How Do We Rule the Cash?

This training is an introductory course for Community Organizers and Leaders to learn the basics of investment and capital structures. The goals of the workshop are two parts:

1. Understand strategies and sources of capital to support the creation of social justice enterprises, worker co-ops and community land trusts

2. Explore organizing and advocacy strategies to impact the sources of capital to increase affordable housing and good jobs in our communities

The Solidarity Economy Initiative (SEI) is offering trainings and classes to help build our communities’ ability to create a just, inclusive and sustainable economy. Trainings are open to members of SEI member organizations and allies.
