Racial Reconciliation and Healing Project

May 22 @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 29, 2019

As an approach to improving community health, the  Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center works with a group of 16 youth (8 white youth and 8 youth of color) in a racial reconciliation and healing process. Through readings, affinity groups, workshops, speak outs and community teaching, youth are challenged and supported to understand the levels of the system of racism, explore racial identity development theory, and transform into racial justice activists.
